Modify a folder
You can modify a folder by changing the folder name or moving it in the folder hierarchy. When modifying a top-level folder, Project Manager or higher roles can restrict the folder access to one or more user groups.
To modify a folder, complete the following procedure.

In the Main Menu, select , and then .
- In the pane, to view the folder hierarchy, click
to open a folder. To close a folder, click
. - Reorganize folders by dragging and dropping them within the folder hierarchy.
To move a folder into a folder, hover over the folder name, click
, and drag and drop it into the desired folder.To move a folder out of a folder and make it top-level, click
, drag it out, and drop it when the
icon appears.When you move a folder or subfolder to a new parent (normal or secured), the system removes any explicit permissions on the folder and applies the visibility and access settings of the destination folder.
- To modify a folder using folder settings, do the following.
- Hover over the folder, click
, and then select .
- In , do the following.
- Make any of the following updates.
- Change the folder name.
- To move a subfolder to a folder level in the hierarchy, uncheck .
- To move a subfolder from one parent folder to another, select a different parent folder in .
- To make a folder a subfolder, select (
) and select the parent folder. - When modifying a top-level folder, in , you can change the folder permissions.
To remove restrictions, select .
- To limit folder access to a user group, select that group.
To select more groups if available, click and select a group from the field that appears.
- Click .
- Make any of the following updates.
- Hover over the folder, click
